Meet Keisha Garner, Esq.

Keisha Garner is the founder and managing member of the District of Columbia based, Garner Law, PLLC where she focuses on family law, estate planning, small business, civil litigation, and criminal defense. Ms. Garner received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law School, where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Award and served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Business & Technology Law. She has worked as a law clerk at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and U.S. Department of Justice and interned for the Honorable James P. Salmon at the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland, Fourth Appellate Circuit.

In addition to being a formidable trial attorney, Ms. Garner regularly uses her extensive legal experience to serve her community and advance the interests of women. Ms. Garner served as chair of the National Bar Associations Young Lawyers section where she developed programming aimed at educating and mentoring young lawyers. Since 2016, Ms. Garner has served on the Women’s Committee for the Franklyn J. Bourne Bar Association where she has assisted in initiatives to increase the presence of women in the legal profession.
