Meet Lena Kim, Esq.
In addition to being a wife and mother of two, Attorney Kim is the Special Juvenile Magistrate for the Montgomery County Circuit Court in Rockville, Maryland. Prior to her current appointment, Magistrate Kim had served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Edward R. K. Hargadon, Judge-in-Charge of the Juvenile Division for the Baltimore City Circuit Court. Following her clerkship, Magistrate Kim accepted a position as an Associate County Attorney at the County Attorney’s Office for Montgomery County where she represented the County in child welfare proceedings. A Maryland native and 2008 graduate of the University of Maryland’s Francis King Carey School of Law, Magistrate Kim has dedicated her professional career to representing and advocating for the most vulnerable members of our society - children.
WHY IS SHE BARRED & BEAUTIFUL?
Magistrate Kim regularly spends her free time mentoring young women through various outreach efforts sponsored by her church. In addition, Magistrate Kim donates her time and advocacy skills championing causes dedicated to women lawyers through her active memberships with the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Maryland.
